PARK REVIEW (City, EPA & Arborist)

I had the honors of finding a walk review of the planned remediation project.  I was able to see and question Commissioner Kasych from the City, J Justice from the EPA, and an Independent Arborist.  They were accessing the Park Remediation Project this morning.

T R E E I N S P E C T IO N

Today, City of Cleveland arborists inspected the trees at W. C. Reed Park.  A neighbor has informed me.  A healthy Little Leaf Linden was measured to be removed.  Is this tree diseased or dying?  Which trees will avoid the chain saw?

TOO MANY QUESTIONS, UNANSWERED" ???????????????

1. Will residents backyards be tested for possible soil contaminates?
2. How long have our local officials known that resdential backyards are part of the old (land fill) ravine?
3. Does the EPA know?
4. Is this the reason for the remediation delay?
5. When will the true facts be given to the public?
6. What are the issues and future for this neighborhood concerning this news?

Best place in Cleveland for kite flying???

I plan to test my theory this week. I think that WC Reed field might be the best place for kite flying in all of Cuyahoga County. Some might say Edgewater Park, but I think we have a well-kept secret here in Brooklyn Centre.

Cleveland has a skate park!

Did you know that Cleveland already has a skate park, located right by the Rock and Roll Hall of FAME? I did not know. But, now, I DO. Check out the photos. The whole city is a park if you know how to recreate.
